Dilemma in the Zaria region of Kaduna State as two teenagers drown in the Zaria's river of death - Happenings In 9ja 

Two persons who are said to be teenagers have been reportedly found dead in the river Galma in Zaria region of Kaduna State. The river popularly referred to as Kogin Mutuwa is also known as river of death.

The victims who are said to be 17 years of age with their names Zakaria Aliyu Yahaya and Yusuf Abdullahi were said to leave their homes without notifying their parents.

Reports from the Daily Trust has it that the part of the river where they drowned had claimed about eight lives as at last year.

Eyewitness said that the two were classmate in SS1 in the same school. It was getting dark and their friends came to the house to check on them not seeing either of them visit as usual. On getting to one of their homes, one of the neighbours said that he saw them leaving for the river.

On hearing this, the friends that came visiting knew that the friends would came back since they were grown up and the wasn't any need to look for them. Not until when it was getting dark that they decided to go to the river.

On getting there, they found their bodies floating on the river. It was a tragic sight to behold. They were buried by those that found their bodies according to Islamic rites.
