It was a thing of joy on the 2nd October, 2019 as the department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Uyo rolled out drums to celebrate and honour in grand style two of their erudite academicians who have not only carved out a niche for themselves but have contributed immensely towards the growth of the department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Environmental Studies and the University of Uyo at large.
Professors Akaninyene Mendie and Bassey Ekop took the bow after many years of meritorious service in the institution of higher learning.
It is worthy of note that the superlative performances and contributions of these dynamic, diligent and infatigable gentlemen in the academic world will remain indelible.
