AROCHUKWU CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY ASSURES DR. OREH OF VOTES - 247 World News
The Christian Community in Arochukwu of Abia State, on Wednesday, assured Dr. Okuji Obinna Oreh, the All Progressives Grand Alliance Candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency in the 2023 election of votes, because he will deliver, when elected to represent the constituency.
The Anglican Bishop for Arochukwu/Ohafia Diocese, Rt. Rev. Johnson Onuoha, made the assertion at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Ugwuavo village in Arochukwu, Abia State, during an interdenominational thanksgiving service by Dr. Okuji Obinna Oreh, for his victory in the last primary election of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and God's help thus far.
Preaching a sermon to a mammoth crowd at the Cathedral, Bishop Onuoha said
“We cannot mortgage our future over material things therefore we should avoid every form of vote buying and selling. He urged all eligible voters to get involved and do the right thing. In 2023 we will vote individuals and not party and I urge all Christians to vote for Dr.Oreh because he will deliver. Be sure you will get my vote” he said.
In his speech the celebrant, Dr. Oreh explained that he took cognizance of Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you”. He has therefore first come to thank God. He revealed his meditation on Luke 17:11-19, where our Lord Jesus Christ healed 10 leprous men and only one came back to give thanks. He said, “I am that man, I have come back to give thanks to the Most High God. We have traveled; we have been through difficult situations, from when we did the primaries up until now, every step, God has shown Himself mighty on our behalf." He ended with a thanksgiving chorus in Igbo, "Tuwara Ya Mma Mma".
The Nwamara Campaign Council for Arochukwu Local Government Area was also inaugurated during the service.
In a related development, the Eze Aro in Council, Nwamara Movement and Aro Youths Frontier Squad used the visitation of Dr. Oreh to Arochukwu to reaffirm their endorsement of his candidature.
